Gary Wayne Marlow, 75, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on October 24, 2025, at his residence in Mount Vernon. Gary was born on October 15, 1950, in Mount Vernon, Illinois, to the late Loyd and Ruth (Mitchell) Marlow.
He is survived by his partner and best friend, Mary Fields; son Chris Marlow and wife Erin; daughter Jamie Long and husband Pecos; grandchildren Reid Marlow, Annabelle, and Emma Long; stepchildren Billy Fields and wife Sonja and Cori Warren; stepgrandchildren Natalie Warren, Liam, and Irie Fields; and his furbaby Annie.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Marlow.
Gary worked at Walgreen’s Distribution Center, drove a semi truck, was a taxidermist and carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching grandkids play ballgames, St. Louis Cardinal’s baseball, Illini Basketball, MTV Rams basketball, gardening and maintaining his property.
No services will be held. He will be deeply missed by all.
