It’s post season time in prep cross country with Regionals held across the state. The Salem Wildcats will join Centralia and Mount Vernon among a field of 13 schools running in the 2a race at SIU-Carbondale. The top team and individuals will advance to Olney Central College next Saturday.
Running at Mattoon today will be teams including Olney and North Clay. Also Jacksonville will host a regional to feed into Olney.
In 1a Regionals feeding into the Benton Sectional will be at Wesclin. That will include Christ Our Rock and Mater Dei. Massac County and Murphysboro’s regionals also feed to Benton.
In the 1a Cumberland Sectional, regionals at Robinson, Tuscola and Shelbyville will advance.
