A 33-year-old Salem man has been arrested for felony retail theft after allegedly found hiding in a bathroom at Farm Fresh Market on East Main Street eating product taken from the store.

Salem Police say Adam Durham of Julia Drive was located when they were completing a search of the building after a burglar alarm sound.

Police believe Durham hid in the store when it closed at nine Wednesday night.  Less than an hour later, the burglar alarm sounded after apparently picking up on Durham taking items from the store.

In addition to the items Durham was eating, he reportedly had other stolen food items in a bag.

In addition to the new felony retail theft charge, Durham was arrested on an outstanding no bond Marion County misdemeanor warrant on a prior retail theft charge.
