Salem took six girls to the Centralia sectionals and three will be heading to state next week!
Kinsey Jarrett had a tough draw in the singles bracket and was out in the first round to the #2 seed from Carterville.
Abbi Patrick and Samantha Alli played really well, but came up short in the first round to Mt. Vernon.
In doubles Lauren Burge and Maddison Keserauskis won the first round in three sets vs. Benton. They won the second round vs Mt. Vernon 6-1, 7-5. Qualifying for state.
In the semi final they lost to Carbondale and took 4th overall in doubles.
In singles Ella Robinson had a bye in the first round, beat Nashville in the second round in three sets and then beat Mt. Vernon 6-1, 6-1 to qualify for state.
In the semi finals she lost to Carbondale and also took 4th overall in singles behind #2 seed Carterville.
Salem tied for third place overall.
