A big weekend is planned in Sandoval as the village celebrates homecoming.
The Village of Sandoval will show its school spirit by hosting the 3rd Annual Homecoming Street Fair on Friday from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. The fair, coordinated with Sandoval Jr./Sr. High School’s Homecoming Committee, will feature a vendor fair along Commercial Street, homecoming parade, chili supper serving chili and the famous school peanut butter sandwiches.
Bill Henson, Sandoval native and Sandoval Jr./Sr. high school alum has been named as Grand Marshall of the 2024 homecoming parade.
The parade will start and end at Sandoval Grade School going down Commercial Street in front of Sandoval Public Library and Sandoval City Hall, turning north on Main, west at Bub’s Pub, and then head south to circle back to the grade school.
The library will host a book sale and children’s activities.
Many of the participating vendors are talented local residents and friends from neighboring communities. There are still spots available for vendors. Interested vendors can contact Village Administrator LeAnn Speiser at 618-322-8460 or Sandoval City Hall at 618-247-3845 to secure a spot.
