Both drivers were treated on the scene following a two car crash at Boone and Jefferson in Salem Monday afternoon.
Salem Police say a 16-year-old Iuka male juvenile failed to stop at the stop sign on Jefferson and hit a car by the driver’s side door on East Boone driven by 37-year-old Ashley Wilmoth of Salem.
The Salem Fire Protection District was called to help get Wilmoth out of her vehicle, but the door had been opened by their arrival.
United Medical Response treated both drivers at the scene. A three-old-male and four-year-old female in the Wilmoth vehicle escaped injury.
The crash occurred at 3:25 Monday afternoon.
