The North Clay Cardinals beat Altamont 6-1 to win the Cardinal Classic Tournament. The Cards are 14-4 on the year and will play in the NTC Tournament next week with an opening round game with Windsor/Stew-Stras.
North Clay also beat South Central on Wednesday 3-0. In the loss Callaway Smith went 6 innings for the Cougars and gave up 3 hits and 2 earned runs. At the plate, SC only had 2 hits. Hudson Moore doubled and Zane Montes added a single.
