Charles Joseph Cimera, 83, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 pm September 11, 2025, in Mount Vernon, IL. He was born on March 28, 1942, in Cleveland, OH, to the late John Cimera and Florence (Bulher).
Charles is survived by his sons, Gary Cimera and wife, Robin of Centralia, IL, and Keith Cimera of Mount Vernon, IL; grandchildren, Serena, Joshua, Ashlynn, and Chase Cimera; and brother-in-law, Frank McClure and wife, Carmella of Cleveland, OH.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his grandson, John Cimera, and brother, John Cimera.
Charles was a member of King City Kustom Cruisers. He loved cars and enjoyed showing his off. He was the “Fix it man”.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Catholic church in Mount Vernon, IL, with Monsignor David Darin officiating. Inurnment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL. Memorials may be made in Charles’s honor to Ronald McDonald House or Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
