Salem Bobcat Soccer Has Busy Weekend

7/8th grade CoEd went 1-1 for the day, winning the second match against Highland 5-2. Kayne Rhynes had a hat trick with great assists by Gabe Thomason and Stevie Nix. Liam Shober and Rylan Smith had a goal each on the day. Hunter Williams and Caleb Dice put in great effort in the goal.

The Salem Select girls got off to a solid start with a 6-1 win against the St. Louis Stars in their opening game of the fall SLYSA season.  Braelyn Holzhausen, Penny Dennis, Laney Kuhns, and Stevie Nix all contributed goals. Lexie DeForest and Addy Nix split time in goal.

The Salem Bobcats 5/6 girls played tough in a close battle with Breese in their season opener. The game ended in a 1-1 tie. Stevie Nix scored the lone goal for the Bobcats. Lexie DeForest and Hadleigh Belfiore both spent time in goal and came through with some big saves.

Salem Bobcats 5th/6th boys traveled to Breese this morning and came out with a 2-0 victory. Both goals were scored by Holden Etheridge in the second half. Caleb Dice earned the clean sheet in net.

The Salem 3/4 boys came out on fire for their season opener with a 7-0 victory over New Baden! Goals were scored by Brady Carroll, Grayson Sears, Owen Marcum, and Jason Berry with a hat trick. Jonah Findley, Calen Veit-Tackitt, and Everette Eubank contributed to the clean sheet in goal.
