The City of Centralia has launched a new city website at cityofcentralia.org. In an announcement, the city says the website is “mobile-responsive and highly functional.” The updated website features improved accessibility and navigation and is paired with a utility customer service portal that was added earlier this year. Features include online web forms, service requests, a calendar system, and subscription to news, alerts, and announcements.
The city website was last redesigned in 2012. While the information on it was kept updated, the format, design, features, and required ADA compliance had become outdated. The new update brings the site into compliance while making it easier to use.
The new website was developed by CivicPlus for an initial fee of $7,447 with a continuing contract that will allow for a redesign every 48 months.
