A long time member of the Odin Village Board has resigned due to leaving town.
Jim Smith was honored at the board’s meeting last week with an acrylic clock for his 21 years of work on behalf of the village. During his tenure, Smith also served as interim mayor and mayor pro temp.
Smith’s seat is currently open until a new board member is selected to fill his seat.
