Ricker Drive in Bryan Memorial Park is closed due to flood waters in Town Creek.

Most of the flooded streets in Salem have reopened after water levels receded following the heavy rains Tuesday morning.

High water levels on Airport Road, West Whitaker Street, South Hotze. West Kell, and at the entrance and exit ramps on I-57 at West Main Street are down with no flooding at the present time.  Earlier, the city got pumps working at the East Main Street underpass and were able to restore normal traffic flow.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department reports all US and State highways are open and currently have no high water issues.

Low-lying rural roads are flooded in many of the usual locations.  Brick Hill Road below Raccoon Lake is closed as a result of flooding from 1 and a half gates of Raccoon Lake being open to get rid of excess water.   Centralia Public Works Director Jeff Schwartz reports the lake is full, but in its current configuration, the amount of water coming into the lake and exiting the lake are nearly the same.

Rainfall totals across much of the southern half of Marion County are in the area of four inches.
