There were nearly full houses for the two performances of Gulliver’s Travels by the Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp on Saturday.
More than 60 students spent the week auditioning, learning about theatre, and learning lines before Friday’s dress rehearsal and the Saturday performances.
One of the two director’s in Salem last week for the camp, Josh Glover, says it was a good week.
“The dress rehearsals are expectedly and appropriately messy and then they pull it all together. They have fun, they are loud and they are proud. They do a lot of great things on stage. I think the audience had a lot of fun. I had a lot of fun on stage and I know they did too.”
For the first time this year, the Salem Community Theatre will have a second week of Missoula Children’s Theatre Camp. It will be held next Monday through Saturday, July 10th through the 15th. Students will learn and then perform Jack in the Beanstalk at 3 and 5:30 pm on July 15th.
