Both occupants of a car that ran off the 1700 block of West McCord Street into a deep ditch on the west side of Centralia were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.
Centralia Police say 70-year-old William Ratermann of South Cherry in Centralia apparently suffered a medical issue that resulted in the car leaving the road. Both he and his passenger who was his son, William Ratermann, Jr. of North Cherry, were taken by Lifestar Ambulance to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for treatment.
The crash was reported at 12:36 Monday afternoon.
