A Nascote Industries employee who experienced a life-threatening medical event while on the job last May is back on his feet again.
Mike Borowiak, an employee of Nascote Industries for over twenty-four years, experienced a life-threatening medical event on May 16, 2023. Borowiak said he can’t remember much from that day except that he didn’t experience any related signs or symptoms.
Borowiak’s co-workers, Jeff Stern, Adam Brammeier, and Scott Smith took quick action and used first aid training to administer life-saving techniques while waiting for EMS to arrive.
Borowiak stopped by the factory on Tuesday to thank his co-workers who came to his aid and helped save his life last spring. He has decided to retire from Nascote Industries and focus on his recovery.
“We are extremely grateful to the ‘Heroes of Nascote’ for coming to the aid of their co-worker. We wish Mike the very best in his recovery and thank him for his many years of service,” said HR Manager, Mary Kellerman.
Nascote Industries has operated as a manufacturer of automotive parts and accessories for the past 37 years.
