In City of Salem/YMCA Women’s A League Volleyball tournament action this week, Spike Tysons won the title beating Washed Up Wildcats 25-19, 25-21. Washed Up Wildcats earned a trip to the title match with a semifinal win over Bierman’s General Store 27-25, 25-22. Bierman’s would take the 3rd place trophy due to a forfeit by Gold Diggers.
Its been a busy last few days at the Bryan Bennett Softball Field with YMCA/City of Salem Men’s season in full swing. On Tuesday, SWAG/Pour House beat ABC Pub 18-3 and the Knights 18-15 with the Knights then beating El Rancherito 17-7.
On Wednesday, Iuka State Bank shutout the 51/50 Misfits 11-0, Eliminators beat Landers Towing 20-10 and they also beat El Rancherito 28-0.
