CORLHS Hands Out End of Year Track Awards

The Christ Our Rock Boys and Girls Track and Field Team had their awards night this evening! It was a night to celebrate the success of the 2024 Track and Field season, as well as a great show of appreciation for our athletes, their families, our supporters and everyone who played a part in making this a very special and memorable season!

Each member of the team received a certificate for their efforts and commitment this season! There were also some special awards handed out and everyone enjoyed pizzas afterwards!

Ast. coach Nickie Mitchell played a huge role in helping me organize the event! After the awards several of the athletes, parents and coaches gathered for bowling at the Salem Bowling alley!

Coach Tim Koch and Ast. Coach Nickie Mitchell was gifted a wood burned plaque that was hand made by Jr. Shot & Discus thrower Remington Burleyson! And transportation specialist Chane Lyons was also gifted the wood burned plaque as well! It was a fantastic gift and we are all very blessed to receive it this evening! The night was a lot of fun and a successful event for everyone! Here were the specific awards handed out to our athletes:

Girls:
-Best Teammate & Sportsmanship award: So. Chloe Tate
-Tom Gage Award for Consistency in Throwing Award: Jr. Madi Nolte
-“Rising Star” Award: Jr. Rylee Brammeier
-Golden Spike (MVP) Award-Sr. Sarah Mckowen

Boys:
-Best Teammate & Sportsmanship award:
Fr. Anderson Engele
-Tom Gage Award for Consistency in Throwing Award: Jr. Remington Burleyson
-“Rising Star Award”:Fr. Aiden Hildreth
-“Versatility” Award: Jr. Jayden Cushman
-Newcomer of The Year Award: Fr. Alton Davis
-Strong Man Award: Sr. Matt George
-Stamina (Distance Runners) Award: Fr. Carson Pigg
-“Stay in Your Lane (Consistency Award)”: Jr. Zerek Koch
-Team Captain/Leadership Award-Sr. Elijah Gregory
-Golden Spike (MVP) Award: Soph: Landyn Mitchell
