Carterville won the 2a state softball championship at Louisville Slugger Park in Peoria knocking off North Boone 1-0. Taylor Rockridge won the 3rd place game 4-0 over Auburn.
Woodhull won the 1a state softball championship at Louisville Slugger Park in Peoria beating Illini Bluffs 3-1. Trico needed just 5 innings to beat Villa Grove 13-2 in the 3rd place game.
In 3a sectional finals on Saturday, Mt Zion beat Chatham Glenwood at Charleston 4-2. They will play at Millikin today in Super Sectional action against Waterloo who won at home beating Freeburg 4-0.
