In 1a softball Super Sectionals yesterday, Windsor/Stew-Stras fell at Johnston City in 8-innings to Trico 5-3. Trico advances to Louisville Slugger Stadium in Peoria for the 1a semifinals on Friday at 12:30 when they play Illini Bluffs. The first semifinal at 10 is between Villa Grove and Woodhull.
St Anthony’s season ended at Millikin falling to Auburn 12-2 in six innings. Carterville did advance to the Final Four winning the Johnston City Super Sectional over Newton 8-1. Carterville will play Friday in the state semifinal at 3pm against Taylor Rockridge with North Boone and Auburn playing in the other semifinal.
