The staff at Forbes State Park near Omega is ready for the summer season.

Superintendent Clint Denhoff says the camping areas and beach will be ready for the Memorial Day crowds.  As of noon Friday, he reported the campgrounds were filling up.

Denhoff says they have been concentrating on catching up on maintenance projects.   He notes the marina walkway bridge that was heavily damaged during a heavy rain event last year is going to be rebuilt.  Denhoff says it is in the procurement process with hopes of having the project completed by the end of June.
