To say it was a successful first year for the Sandoval Junior High Golf Program would be an understatement. After seeing team wide improvement all season, the year was capped off with their very first state qualifier.
Raegan Jezek advanced out of Regional competition and qualified for the SIJHSAA State Tournament held Tuesday at Rend Lake Golf Course. She shot 117 finishing in the top half of the field. As a side note, Sandoval is coached by Heather Day, who just happens to be Raegan’s aunt as well.
