State Police have released the names of the two drivers involved in a rear-end crash on I-57 near the Post Oak Rest area south of Salem Thursday night.
Police report a van driven by 23-year-old Jason Vieriu of Taylorsville, North Carolina rear-ended a car driven by 64-year-old Lori Campbell of Joliet. The impact caused the Campbell car to run off the left side of the road and strike a tree.
Campbell had to be extricated from the car by the Salem Fire Protection District. She was then taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred around 8:30 Thursday night.
