Kathy Susan Myers, 60, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 2:48 am April 30, 2024, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon.
She was born October 9, 1963, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to Chester and Carol (Wilson) Hill. Kathy married John Myers on October 3, 1992.
In addition to her beloved husband of thirty-one years, Kathy is survived by her mother, Carol Hill of Mount Vernon; sons, Caleb Myers and wife, Dacoda and Nathaniel Myers, all of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Alesana and Atticus; siblings, Tom Hill and wife, Paula of Ewing, Illinois, Doug Hill of Mount Vernon, Dean Hill and wife, Becky of Opdyke, Linda Ross and husband, Scott of Woodlawn; mother-in-law, Janet Myers of Mount Vernon; brothers-in-law, Brian Myers and wife, Connie of Lake Villa, Illinois and Jeff Myers and wife, Robyn of Glenarm, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Chester Hill; sister-in-law, Nancy Hill; and father-in-law, Larry Myers.
Kathy loved being outdoors, especially the beach and ocean. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. Above all, Kathy loved spending time with her family and friends and loved her beloved dog, Jackson.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 3, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at East Salem Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
