2024 05/06 – Fleta Louise Lybarger

Fleta Louise Lybarger, age 79 of Alma, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Centralia Manor, surrounded by her family.

Fleta was born on April 3, 1945, in Marion County, the daughter of John Elvin Conant and Carrie Dora (Organ) Conant.  She married Norman Leon Lybarger and he preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Lisa D. Dalton and husband George of Sandoval and Sean Lybarger and wife Rebekah of Alma; sisters, Valinda M. Pratt of Centralia and Florence Fisher of St. Peter; grandchildren, Jeffrey S. Beck and Erin Grapperhaus of Alma, Brandon R. Dalton and wife Debi of Dalton, GA, Christopher A. Beck and wife Lydia of NV, Timothy A. Dalton and Samantha Brown of Sandoval, Nicholas A. Dalton and Jessica Meyer of Dix, Hannah Mitchell and husband Blake of Iola, and Andrew Lybarger of Alma; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Mack Conant; and sister, Elma M. Walker.

Fleta was a member of the Greenridge Church since 1969.  She worked for Hollywood Candy Company, Littelfuse, as a Tupperware Sales Manager, as Secretary for Dr. Osborne, in the Supervisor of Assessments Office, and as the Foster Township Supervisor. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 6, 2024, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem with Pastors Kenny Cripps and Jonathan Urshan officiating.  Burial will follow at Sandy Branch Cemetery in Kinmundy.  Visitation will be held on Sunday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial donations can be made to Sandy Branch Cemetery and can be received at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
