A 51-year-old homeless Salem man was arrested on multiple counts after allegedly being found inside a vacant home in the 1300 block of South Washington Street in Salem on Sunday.

Salem Police say Clayton Worley was taken to the Marion County Jail for criminal trespass to a residence, criminal damage to property, and for failure to register as a sex offender.

Police report the owner of the home went inside when investigating the broken window in the door and found Worley.  He stayed at the scene until police arrived.

Worley was charged with an elevated charge of failure to register as a sex offender due to two past convictions for the same offense.
