Central City Police arrested two men on multiple drug counts following a traffic stop. 20-year-old Joseph Salgado of Clinmar Place and 19-year-old Nicholas Kirgan of South Pine Street in Centralia were both taken to the Marion County Jail for alleged possession with intent to deliver 500 to 2,000 grams of cannabis, underage possession of cannabis, possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance. In addition, Salgado was ticketed for driving on a suspended license. Central City Police initially stopped the car for speeding around nine Saturday night.
Illinois State Police arrested 22-year-old Deiaja Lowe of North Maple in Centralia on outstanding major traffic warrants from Marion and Williamson County for driving on a suspended license.
