Police Beat for Saturday, April 20th, 2024

A 34-year-old homeless Centralia man has been arrested by Centralia Police on multiple charges including a Class X charge of armed violence.  Timothy Vaughn is also charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of a weapon and ammunition, resisting arrest, and two counts of child endangerment.   He was taken to the Marion County Jail.  Further details are not yet available.

Central City Police have arrested 53-year-old Angela Briones of South Hickory in Centralia on three counts of fraud.  She was arrested after allegedly passing counterfeit money on Friday at a Central City business.

34-year-old Jessica Murray of South Maple of Sandoval was returned to the Marion County Jail after being arrested on outstanding Marion and Clinton County warrants.

A 23-year-old Centralia man, Jalon Hamilton of North James, is being held on an outstanding Marion County warrant on pending charges of aggravated battery to a pregnant person and misdemeanor criminal damage to property.
