The Marion County Farm Bureau will again commit up to $5,000 to fund community improvement projects for 2024.   Our Community Impact Grant program seeks to identify various projects that will improve our communities and create partnerships with other groups and organizations to make those projects a reality.

Examples of eligible organizations in Marion County could include schools, civic organizations, churches, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters, fraternities, sororities, etc. Project ideas could include efforts like upgrades to community buildings, spaces, and playgrounds; needed equipment for 4-H clubs, FFA Chapters, or other school clubs/organizations; and other community-based projects that could use additional funding. Projects with lasting impacts will be favored over short-term projects.

Marion CFB’s Community Impact Grant Program had another good response in 2023, receiving four (4) applications that requested over $10,000 in funding. The Board of Directors ultimately chose to spread the funds evenly last year, with each of the requested projects being awarded $1,000. To date, the Marion CFB has awarded $8,250 in grants for 11 community improvement projects.

The Marion County Farm Bureau appreciates the opportunity to work with great organizations and individuals on projects to improve our communities and look forward to seeing them make a difference. You may contact the Marion County Farm Bureau office at (618) 548-2100 or marioncofb@marioncofb.org for more information and to obtain a link to the 2024 application.

The deadline to make application is April 30th.
