Thurman, Paulson & Blagoue Lift Salem To 13-3 Start
The Salem Lady Cats are 13-3 overall and 5-1 in the Cahokia Conference after their home win over Breese Central 13-5. It was a huge game for Salem junior Bre Thurman who homered twice and doubled as she drove in 5 runs going 4-4 and scored 3 times. Olivia Paulson also went deep and drove in 3 runs. That was plenty for winning pitcher Lilly Blagoue who worked all 7 innings and struck out 12.
SC Short Games CHBC, Hosts Ramsey Today
South Central beat CHBC 13-2 in five innings. Bri Buchanan drove in 3 runs for SC with 2 each from Kyra Swift and Ella Watwood. Taegan Webster tripled as part of her 3 hit day and drove in a run along with Kaitlyn Swift, Kinlee Thompson and Amelia Montes. Thompson was the winning pitcher allowing 7 hits and struck out 5. The Lady Cougars host Ramsey this afternoon.

Lady Stallions Use Long Ball And Solid Pitching To Beat Lady Griffins
Christ Our Rock shutout Father McGivney 10-0 in five innings scoring 5 times in the fifth to win it. Emma Williamson cruised in the circle allowing 1 hit and striking out 9. At the plate, Alayna French had a double and homer and drove in 4. The Lady Stallions hit 3 home runs on the day with Williamson and Nalewajka also hitting home runs.

Odin Gets Another No No From Lane In Conference Win
Odin improved to 3-1 in MTC play with their 10-0 win over Wayne City, which also snaps a 4 game losing skid for Odin. Hailey Lane had 2 home runs and 4 RBI. Gwen Belcher, Amiya Ray and Madie Garrett had 2 hits. Lane was the w inning pitcher throwing her 2nd no hitter in MTC play. Odin is 6-10 and will travel to Weber today.
