Members of fire departments from around the region as well as those involved in the statewide Illinois Fire Chief’s Association gathered in Centralia Friday for the funeral of long-time Centralia Fire Protection District Chief Greg Earle.
Earle was with the department for 34 years, working his way up to chief. He also served as President of the Illinois Fire Chief’s Association for 2019-202. Earle also served on the Centralia Fire Protection District Board and the Marion County 911 Emergency Phone Board.
