Salem & CORLHS Earn Baseball Wins In Shutout Fashion

Salem Beats Down Wood River JV & Varsity

The Salem Wildcat baseball team is at home today against the Mules of Fairfield.  Salem is 9-8 on the year after winning at Wood River 12-0 as Salem broke open a scoreless game with 4 runs in the 3rd and 3 more in the fourth.  Josh Powless doubled going 2-3 with 2 RBI, Jalen Inlow added a triple and 2 RBI and Kam Wilkins also tripled.  Gavin Zimmermann drove in 3 runs and also threw the complete game shutout striking out 12, not walking anyone and allowing just 3 hits.

The Salem JV beat down the Oilers 22-4 outhitting them 14-2 and taking advantage of 6 Wood River errors.  Carter Lowe had a triple, 2 doubles and went 3-3 with 5 runs and 4 RBI.  Brody Collier drove home 6 runs with 2 doubles.  Evan Barnes and Aden Rostance added 2 RBI.  Dame Weems got his first career RBI with a groundout.  Max Vincent got the start and was the winning pitcher going 3 innings allowing 1 hit and 3 runs with 4 strikeouts, Rostance worked the final inning.


CORLHS Shuts Out SC

Christ Our Rock shutout South Central in Centralia 6-0 capitalizing on 3 Cougar errors leading to 5 unearned runs.  Lendon Isaiahand Christian Nollman drove in 2 runs each with RBI from Parker Boehne and Damari Dabney.  Colton and Callaway Smith had 2 hits each with singles from Coen West, Maddux Robb and Seth Jones.   Dabney was the winning pitcher for the Stallions with Boehne getting the 2 inning save.  Chase Guerrettaz took the loss for SC allowing 7 hits and 1 earned run.
