An 18-year-old Salem man was injured in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say Jake Rollins of North Hotze Road was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old Salem female juvenile who lost control when traveling on the 3300 block of Townhouse Road north of Salem.
Reports indicate the juvenile was traveling westbound when she entered the curve too fast, hydroplaned, and ran off the north side of the road.
Initial reports indicated the two were trapped in the car, resulting in the Salem Fire Protection District being dispatched. However, both were out on the arrival of emergency help.
The crash occurred at 4:58 on Sunday afternoon.
