Lady Cats 11-2 With Championship At Waltonville…CORLHS Wins Again…Prep Softball

The Salem Lady Wildcats won the Waltonville Tournament on Saturday improving to 11-2 on the season.

In the first game, Salem shutout Trico 15-0.  Olivia Paulson and Marah Johnson led the offensive onslaught with home runs.  Bre Thurman tripled and doubled twice driving in 3 runs along with Mya Russell.  Lilly Blagoue also drove in 3.  Thurman earned the 1-hit win.

Blagoue was the winning pitcher as Salem won the title over the hosts 5-0.  She struck out 14 and allowed just 1 hit and also homered at the plate.  Paulson homered again and drove in 3 and also doubled.

The Christ Our Rock Lady Stallions are 6-1 after their 15-5 win over CHBC.  Katie Oelze went 3-3 with 4 runs and 2 RBI.  Emma Williamson also drove in 2 with a triple and 2 hits.  Chloe Carter drove in 3 and tripled and Peyton Jett drove in 3.  Williamson was the winning pitcher in relief of Oelze going 4 innings and allowing no hits and striking out 10.
