The City of Centralia issued six building permits for the construction of solar arrays during March resulting in most of the $294,209 in new construction.
An $85,075 array was approved for the 1800 block of Gragg Street. A $60,840 array was permitted in the 500 block of Cedar. Another permit was issued for a $29,083 array in the 600 block of Cedar. A $39,442 project was permitted in the 600 block of North James. A $25,110 permit was approved for a home in the 800 block of East 6th. The sixth array was permitted in the 300 block of East 7th at a cost of $13,109.
Eight other permits were issued during the month. Mission Centralia received a permit to construct a wheelchair ramp in the 1600 block of West McCord. Three permits were approved for fences and three others for signs.
One demolition permit was approved. It was to tear down a home at 445 South Perrine Street.
