Two people were injured in a two-car crash at South Broadway and West Whitaker Street in Salem Wednesday afternoon.
Salem Police say 29-year-old Iesha Knox of Ninth Street in Carlyle was traveling northbound on South Broadway when she made a left-hand turn onto West Whitaker Street in front of a car driven by 84-year-old Barbara Dulaney of Pine Street in Centralia.
Both Knox and her three-year-old juvenile son were taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment of injuries by United Medical. Dulaney escaped injury.
Knox was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
The crash occurred at 3:18 on Wednesday afternoon.
