The Salem Lady Wildcats softball team takes their 7-2 record to Freeburg this afternoon.
The SC Lady Cougars are in action today at home against Altamont. The Lady Cougars are coming off a tight 2-1 win over Windsor/Stew-Stras. SC overcame 4 errors in the win. Taegan Webster went the distance in the circle allowing 3 hits and no earned runs with 6 ks. At the plate, Kyra Swift had a hit and drove in a run and Amelia Montes also added an RBI.
Christ Our Rock beat Dieterich 11-1. Emma Williamson struck out 12 batters in the no-hit win. She walked just 2. At the plate, Alayna French drove in 3, Kailyn Nalewajka added 2 RBI. Katie Oelze and Lilly Cain also drove in runs.
Also in prep softball, Nashville lost to Anna 9-2, Breese Central 1-0 over Anna, Casey beat TTown 6-1, Effingham 6-5 over Newton, Greenville beat Vandalia 11-2, Marion 2-1 over Trico, Centralia lost to Mascoutah 16-7 and Olney 11-1 over Oblong.
