The Salem JV split their double header over the weekend at home. Salem opened with an 8-2 win over Belleville West. Salem got RBI from Carter Lowe, Brody Collier, Colton Rogers and Evan Barnes. Barnes was the winning pitcher going 6 innings allowing 2 hits and 2 runs with 7 strikeouts. Avery Gullion came in for the 7th and struck out 2 working a 1-2-3 inning.
Salem then lost to Triad 5-0. Lowe had a pair of hits with singles also from Eli Lograsso and Aden Rostance. Collier, Keytin Grawe and Lograsso worked on the mound. For Lograsso it was his first time pitching in 9 months as he has been dealing with a fractured growth plate. The sophomore looked solid in his return to the hill. The Salem JV will host Freeburg tomorrow.
