Police Beat for Sunday, March 31st, 2024

Salem Police arrested two Salem residents on outstanding warrants when they were seen walking in an area off South Broadway and Whitaker Street.  34-year-old Nicole Dutton, who told police she was homeless, was wanted on a no bond felony failure to appear warrant in a possession of methamphetamine case.  63-year-old Doyle McLean of South Washington in Salem was arrested on a no bond major traffic warrant.

Sandoval Police arrested 43-year-old Patrick Cobb of Marion Street in Patoka on an outstanding Clinton County no bond warrant.

Centralia Police arrested 42-year-old Jacklyn Tate of South Locust in Centralia on a no bond felony failure to appear warrant in a pending burglary case.

All four were taken to the Marion County Jail to await an appearance in Marion County Court.

The Salem Fire Protection District was called to a rubbish fire along the railroad tracks off the 700 block of South Washington Street on Saturday morning.   It was not clear who started the fire.  There was no damage.
