The Lady Wildcats softball team opens up Conference play today with a home game against Columbia.
Salem improved to 6-1 on the season with an 11-1 win at Waltonville yesterday. Bre Thurman was great in the circle. At the plate as she and Alivia Rasul had 2 hits each. Mya Russell drove in 2. Bria Murray and Rasul added an RBI. Lilly Blagoue hit her 3rd homer of the season, Olivia Paulson hit #2 and Marah Johnson blasted her first.
The SC Lady Cougars are at Neoga.
Also in softball games last night, Mater Dei beat Collinsville 9-1, Wood River lost to Calhoun 14-1, Carmi over Woodlawn 7-2, Marissa beat Wesclin 6-2, Centralia knocked off Breese Central 9-3.
