The Centralia City Council Monday night will be asked to finalize the sale of five surplus properties. Five are the locations of homes previously torn down. The sixth is an undeveloped lot on Dunbar Lane on Raccoon Lake. The council will also consider the surplus of about an acre of vacant ground off South Locust Street near the Centralia Historic Museum.
The council will consider a resolution to lease purchase two new police utility vehicles through its lease arrangement with Enterprise Fleet Management, Inc.
Another resolution seeks permission to demolish buildings on a Lake Centralia Lease at 2340 Wabash Lane.
Centralia Community Development Director Gayla Harting will be recognized for ten years of service and animal shelter manager Kimberly Abbott for 20 years of service.
Mayor Bryan Kuder will make proclamations declaring the first day of the Major League Baseball Season Gary Gaetti Day and April as Abuse and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. The council will also be asked to allow decorations to be placed on city-owned property for awareness of abuse and assault.
The meeting begins at six on Monday night at Centralia City Hall.
