Lady Cats Bounce Back With Shutout Of Effingham….SC Stays Undefeated

The Salem Lady Wildcats improved to 3-1 on the softball field with a home win over Effingham 7-0.  The Lady Cats got 4 runs in the fourth inning to break the game open and that was more than enough for Bre Thurman.  The junior threw a 2-hit shutout and struck out 4.  At the plate, Lilly Blagoue homered and drove in 2, Izzy Decker had 3 hits and 3 RBI with a double, Thurman and Nat Lee added RBI.  Olivia Paulson scored a run.

The SC Lady Cougars are still undefeated with their 13-1 win over Cisne.  Karli Holmes, Kaitlyn Swift and Jasmin Modesty each doubled, Swift drove in 2 runs with RBI also from Taegan Webster, Abi Shuler, Holmes and Noa Leerschool drove in runs.  Emily Rose added 2 RBI.  Kinlee Thompson was the winning pitcher going all 5 innings allowing 4 hits and a run with 9 strikeouts.
