After more than a year of work, Salem Township Hospital will unveil the totally gutted and renovated A wing of the hospital that will now be home to three medical clinics during an open house on Friday.
The open house is from two to four. You may enter the renovated facility from the new elevated parking lot in front of the main entrance to the hospital. The medical facilities are handicapped accessible as a result of raising the parking lot.
The Rural Health Clinic, Dr. Mossad’s Primary Care Clinic and Sandra Tate’s Behavioral Health Clinic will share the space in the former patient wing of the hospital. All of the offices are moving from the basement level of the hospital clearing the way for the next improvement project at the hospital, a larger surgery and emergency room facility.
The renovation of the A wing began with the removal of all the walls and flooring as well as clearing the wing of asbestos. Work then began on new construction. While each of the medical offices are separate they are interconnected to allow for some work between them.
All three medical offices will reopen in their new facilities at 8:30 Monday morning.
