Centralia City Firemen say flames were shooting from every window when they arrived on the scene of a vacant house fire at 1001 Dover Street on Wednesday night.

Firemen say the blaze had also spread to a detached garage about a foot away.   All available Centralia City Firemen were called in along with mutual aid on the scene from Centralia District and Sandoval Firemen.  Odin Firemen stood by at the Centralia City Fire Department in the event of another fire.

Both the home and garage were destroyed, with the roof falling in on the garage.   The cause of the fire has not been determined.  Firemen say only miscellaneous items were stored in the two buildings.

Clinton County property records indicate the owner of the property was Stephanie Henry.

Centralia Police say a person seen running in the area of the fire was detained by police but was determined not to have been involved.
