A 38-year-old Centralia man has been arrested on drug and weapons charges by Central City Police following a Wednesday traffic stop.
Jeffrey Kirkman of Hester Street was taken to the Marion County Jail for possession with intent to deliver 15 to 100 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a weapon by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Central City Police Chief Jamie Ramsey says Kirkman has also had his parole on a prior drug case revoked by the Illinois Department of Corrections and will be going back to prison in that case.
Ramsey said he allegedly had possession of 50 grams of methamphetamine in his possession at the time of the traffic stop.
