The Salem Lady Wildcats will open up their season today with a road trip to Triad. It will be the first of 3 trips this week to open the season. The girls will travel to Benton on Thursday and play in the Fairfield Tournament on Saturday.
The SC Lady Cougars open up their season this afternoon with a trip to Oblong.
The prep softball season opened yesterday. Benton routed NCOE 19-4, Wood River fell to Civic Memorial 16-0, Dieterich 8-7 over Cumberland, St Anthony shutout Neoga 15-0, Patoka/Odin fell to Elverado 12-1, Fairfield 20-2 over North Clay, Highland beat Carlinville 4-3, Marion over Pinckneyville 5-2 and West Frankfort beat Woodlawn 8-3.
