A 24-year-old Centralia man has been arrested for aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting arrest after allegedly being found in a vehicle without permission.
Centralia Police say the owner of the car found Hugo Aguilar of North Maple Street in his car without permission late Monday night. When police attempted to open the door, Aguilar allegedly held it shut. Once police gained entry Aguilar allegedly resisted being handcuffed causing one officer to scrape his knee.
Aguilar then wanted to go to the hospital for treatment and reportedly shoved an officer and security guard after having the handcuffs removed for treatment.
Once in custody again, Aguilar was taken to the Marion County Jail to await a decision on the filing of formal charges.
