The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats finished up their regular volleyball season a perfect 21-0 with their home win over Sandoval on 8th grade night with scores of 25-11, 25-6. It’s the first time the Lady Bobcats have gone undefeated since the Covid year of 2020 when they were just 13-0. The Salem JV won 25-11, 25-13 to finish their season at 12-6. Salem will prepare for their regional tournament Thursday at Wesclin.
Selmaville knocked off Altamont Lutheran on the road 25-17, 25-22. Talya Gowler had 8 points and 7 assists, Brylee Carter had 8 points and Kaolin Lewis 6 kills. Alana Howe had 11 points in the JV match as Selmaville won 25-13, 25-16. The Lady Rockets will host Patoka for 8th grade night tonight.
Iuka beat Patoka 25-22, 25-9. Katee Sellers had 7 points, Kinnley Eagen added 8 points and 4 kills with Paelynn Harris adding 9 points.
The South Central 7th grade volleyball team is at the IESA State Tournament today at Brimfield High School when they take on Gardner tonight at 5:45. A win and SC would play for the state title tomorrow at 3:15, a loss and the 3rd place game starts at 2.
