Marion County Clerk Steve Fox says the clerk’s office will be open the next two Saturday’s for early voting. Those who wish to vote early may enter the east security entrance of the courthouse and come to the clerk’s office on the second floor from eight to noon.

Fox notes early voting also continues from eight to four Monday through Friday outside his office and those in the Centralia area will get a chance to vote early on Wednesday of next week from nine to three at the Centralia Township Office on South Poplar Street.

Despite the number of contested races in the primary, Fox says early voting appears to be down from the last two elections. So far 371 have voted early. There were a total of 627 early voters in the 2020 primary and 750 in the 2022 primary by election day.

The primary election is on Tuesday, March 19th.
