The Salem Home Show returns Saturday following a several year pause for COVID-19.
The Salem Community Activity Center is now sponsoring the show themselves. It will run from nine to four.
Activity Center Executive Director Kelli Predium says over 50 spaces have been rented by a variety of businesses and community organizations.
“I say to everyone that your experience at the Home Show is going to be as good as you make it. If you engage in the booths, and you take the time to learn about the things going on, shop around the different financial institutions, or services like construction companies and learn about the organizations that are there you will get as much out of the Home Show as what you put into it.”
Predium says there will be displays from financial, health care, senior services, construction, golf carts, spas, lawn mowers and more. In addition, Salem Township Hospital will be selling low cost blood testing vouchers. Executive Profile are $40 and PSA and Hemoglobin A1c are $25 apiece. They can be used at the hospital lab any day of the week from 6am to 6:30pm and have no expiration. The Salem Lions Club will be offering free hearing testing and the spot camera that can provide early detection of eye problems in kids.
Predium says there will also be lots of prizes.
“Asked a lot of people who are participating to donate a door prize or something we can raffle off. Another incentive to get you in the door where you get a ticket for attendance and we will be drawing them on the hour for the duration until all the prizes are gone.”
Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for students and free for those five and under.
All proceeds go to help the continued operation of the Salem Community Activity Center.
