Eugena “Gena” K. Ramsey-Quint, age 71, of Salem, Illinois, passed away peacefully at Centralia Manor on February 14, 2025. She was born on August 24, 1953, in Lansing, Michigan, to Eugene and Avis (Rogers) Webb. On June 30, 1989, she married Dennis Quint in Geneva, Illinois, and they shared 35 wonderful years together until her passing.
Gena is survived by her husband: Dennis Quint; her daughter: Jill (Les) Samuel of Elgin, Illinois; her son: Jacob Ramsey of Olney, Illinois; her daughter: Kylene Ramsey of Olney, Illinois; and three cherished grandchildren: Leslie Samuel III, Madeline Ramsey, and Alivia Ramsey. She is also survived by her sister: Theresa Stan of Olney, Illinois; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Avis Webb; her father: Eugene Webb; her stepfather: Robert Webb; and her sister: Marla Webb.
Gena found joy in puzzles, gardening both vegetables and flowers, spending time outdoors, and reading books. Above all else, she treasured the moments spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
A visitation for family and friends of Eugena Ramsey-Quint, will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home Chapel.
